Dupless — Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-07-06

Dupless cleans up your photo library while keeping your photos private: all photo analysis happens on your device and your photos never leave it. To keep the app free, Dupless shows ads served by Google AdMob, which uses an advertising identifier — you are asked for permission first and can decline.

What we access

What happens to your photos

Location matching (optional, off by default)

Dupless can scope an AI scan to a place you name (e.g. “my Mall of America trip”). Matching a place name to your photos requires looking up where each photo was taken, which uses Apple’s location (geocoding) service.

What we collect

Third parties

Data sharing & sale

We do not sell your data. The advertising identifier and ad-interaction data described above are shared with Google AdMob solely to serve and measure ads. Your photos are never shared with anyone.

Children's privacy

Dupless does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date.
